Much as I like LaunchBar, what I'm talking about with Firefox is the
ability to make sense out of what's typed and do the right thing. For
instance, try typing these lines in both Firefox and Safari and
hitting Return:

Apple pr
Cordell Cordaro
Twitter search
Apple stock price
Iran election news

Except for the last one, Firefox guesses completely correctly at where
to go, and for the last one, it does a Google search.

Plus, if what I type is anywhere in the URL of a site I've visited or
bookmarked, that comes up in the pop-up list (any examples I'd give
would work only on my Mac). So in Firefox I can start typing
"esellerate" and go to the link I've bookmarked and named
"eSellerate". In Safari, it would just go to www.esellerate.com, which
isn't where I want to go.

cheers... -Adam

Oh, I know exactly what you mean, but what I mean is that Launchbar
indexes your browser history, so if you've been there before, typing
any part of the URL is going to find it.

For example, in my LB if I type:

agi = forums.agilewebsolutions....
metr = apps.facebook.com/metropolisgame/build.php
padm = <my remote server name>/phpMyAdmin/
podm = <my remote server name>/postfixAdmin/
passg = home.kremne.com/passgen.php

(and of those, I only have the phpMyAdmin and postfixAdmin links
bookmarked, the rest are out of my history)

etc. etc.

Yeah, Safari needs to improve the behavior of its address bar and
integrate it with its history search, but until then, I can get where
I need to go with Launchbar.
