I am unable to cut and paste from the Safari 4 Public Beta to Mail 3.5. Is that normal?

John

Cut does not work. Copy does. As I, at least, would expect. On my
machine with Beta 4. Safari 3 is the same, on my main machine.

That's logical, but copy doesn't work either. My experience is that cut almost always = copy when it is impossible to cut.

I've run into similar problems a few times and it always affected (an
attempt at) copying text from Safari 4 into Apple Mail. Taking a
detour from Safari to Mail via, say, Stickies or BBEdit would always
provide a feasible work-around, though.

I have not been able to tell, however, exactly under which
circumstances that issue manifests itself, nor whether there is any
correlation with running other software utilities that may be part of
the problem.

Regards,

Jochen.

Third party add-ons? (I have none).

My guess is that you aren't getting answers because others here don't
have the problem and therefore haven't solved it.
