Any questions for George Carlo PhD?
George Wade (apparently)
- 02:04pm Apr 10, 2008 PSTvia emailNOT to be gratuitously inflammatory, but: George Carlo, the super
logical PhD who could not ignore the unintended results of his
research into biological effects of microwave radiation, from
cellphones, will be in Vancouver soon.
"Whistleblower George Carlo, PhD on wireless technology's link to
autism, electro-hypersensitivity, honeybee colony collapse disorder,
cancer and more. Get the facts!
7-9 PM St. Andrew's-Wesley Church
1022 Nelson Street, Vancouver
$20 in Advance or for HANS Members
$25 at the door"
Might there be any questions that 40,000 TidBits readers would like
to ask? My own question will be how he balances evidence against
established "Proven science" when there is an apparent need for
action to avert danger. I'll ask if there are relevant documents on
that kind of logical problem. My own preference is CoRT and Six
Thinking Hats by Dr de Bono.

Re: Any questions for George Carlo PhD?
Perhaps these questions are too basic, or just from someone who is
unfamiliar with his thoughts ... but, I would like to ask, "What makes
you think that there is a connection between wireless technology and
these vastly different suspected outcomes?", "Is there any evidence
to support your thoughts?", and "How can one "thing" (wireless
technology) have effects on such vastly different "things" (autism,
electro-hyper ..., cancer, honeybee colony collapses, etc)?"
Thanks for the opportunity to pose some questions.

Yes...a full set of links to his raw data ;-)
[Along with citations in peer-reviewed academic journals. -Adam]

Note that Dr. Carlo will sell you an $89 consultation and lots of
other goodies from his website, www.safewireless.org. The site also
requires apparently an additional $100 contribution for each half-
hour consultation. Not clear or even stated what he does for the
"consultation."
One of the items he sells (for another $89) is an Electrosmog
Detector: Here's how the site's store describes the item: "This new
’broadband’ detector exposes and converts the electromagnetic
impulses it encounters into a collection of sounds (buzzing,
screeching, pulsing) that is far more varied and illuminating than
the ‘click’ of a geiger counter. You can hear the amount, type,
amplitude, and quality of the pulsed electronic pollution created by
local transmitters/emitters operating between 50MHz and 3000 MHz, and
enjoy the silence when the environment is clear. Hearing is
believing!" Sic.

Re: Any questions for George Carlo PhD?
These are reasonable requests and I will benefit too, by putting the
materials together.
One thing, though, may be less reasonable. You cannot foretell the
future by critically analysing the past; which is what the process
of producing peer reviewed academic journals is about. It would have
been impossible to prepare for Pearl Harbour by reading the peer
reviewed learned journals of 1948; there is no need to explain why.
This subject that George Carlo is dealing with is developing rapidly,
explosively, to use a popular phrase. Western logic is not well
tuned to managing that.
Western business sense is well developed; Eastern business more so,
to dealing with rapid developments. If there is an answer we must
look there, as well. If I'm making some sense, so far, I'll bring
both perspectives to our questions to Dr Carlo. Any comments?
[Actually, if I may jump in here with a comment...I'd like to suggest that we wind down this thread. I thought it might be an interesting discussion topic, even though it doesn't relate directly to anything in TidBITS, but I don't want to get TOO far off track, and I realize that we're talking about something sufficiently controversial here that opinions could keep flying for a long time. -Joe]
