Andreas Steinmann - 05:17am Dec 16, 2008 PSTGuest UserHave problems to start Adobe InDesign CS3 after the system software
update.
Is this just coincidence or do others have the same problem?

I tried every which way without success. I even tried opening my
document on another computer with an earlier version of MSWord but
without success.
I can only think I've done something fundamental to the formating.
I got around it in the end by opening another document that was OK,
deleting the contents and copying and pasting the contents from the
above document into it, and doing a Save As - this seemed to work!

Re: Mac OS X 10.5.6 Update Problems
I have a Brother mono laser printer that works with all my software including InDesign. And I have an Epson Stylus Photo R800 (and the latest driver) that works with everything except InDesign CS4. Since MacOs 10.5.6, PRINT from ID causes the Epson's red LED to fibrillate and a window appears reading: "Paper out or incorrect output tray position".
Paper is not out and there is no output tray on a SPR800.
Having to export everything to Acrobat just to print it is not attractive.

At last I've found the solution! the Normal template must have become
corrupt or something - simply close the application, trash the normal
temple (path: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/
Office/User Templates), then restart. Hey presto back to the MS Word
default template.
