Today is Friday the 13th, and the Apple Calendar widget apparently
turns black to mark the occasion. Anyone else notice this behavior?

When I upgraded 10.4.4 the calendar widget turned black permanently. It
also changed to a big-date side by side with a month calendar. You can
change it to just the big date by clicking on the big date pane.
