You might take a look at Adeona

It's an open-source, free computer tracking program. It's designed so only
you can retrieve the location of your computer. It works with Linux,
Windows and Mac.
My house was recently broken into, computers weren't stolen but I got a bit
paranoid so I'm installing it even on my desktops.

What's the difference between iAlertU and Lockdown (based on iAlertU)?
They really look the same. Should we use Lockdown since it comes after
iAlertU?
