iPhone Ver 2.0.2 "Bug Fix"

I took the plunge and installed 2.0.2 on my iPhone (ver 1), self-
described as a "bug fix." Who knows what it does. The link to more
information was anything but informative, and all it pulled up was a
new user manual for the Apple Bluetooth Headset plus some older manuals.

Maybe it will permit connection with my UConnect in my Ram 2500 truck.

I also note that Apple has now given MobileMess users another 60 days
free service on top of the original 30 extra days. This could go on
forever!!

Interesting, here its only 2.0.1

Anyone know what the difference is?

For what its worth I applied it and everything is fine (mind you it
was fine before I updated too).

MobileMess, I like it. Someone needs to hack an icon!

Considering that you paid up front for a year of service, you'll be
waiting a while before you can take advantage of this alleged
"benefit." If Apple really wanted to do the right thing, they'd
refund your money and not bill you again until all the free service
actually runs out. Of course, if you signed up for the free trial, I
guess you get another 90 days on top of the original 60... which
almost makes me wish I'd signed up for it. But not really.

Sometime in the next few weeks, I plan to try MobileMess again. There
were features of dot Mac's sync that were just fine in my business,
and I'd hope they'd be present in the Mess, too.

Paid for dot Mac two years ago, and set it for auto-renewal, which
just recently took place again. So, if I keep renewing for the next
upteen years, which is likely, I'll never reap the benefit of those
extra 90 days. As I keep telling my kids, it'll all be in my estate!!

Similarly with the extra two years on my Apple Care extended
warranty. The MacBookPro for which it was purchased was stolen about
two years into its life, so lost a year. All Apple will give is a
refund and not a credit on a new purchase. This means I get to go out
and search the Internet for the least expensive Apple Care on this new
MBP.

Your renewal date will move up a total of 90 days. Mine has shifted
from early November to February.

Actually, that was a bad attempt at humor based on my age. Sometime
in the hopefully far far off future, I'll be too old and decrepit to
use a computer so will lose out on those extra months. Maybe I'll
transfer my .Mac/MobileMe subscription to my eldest grandchild when he
gets into college -- he'll be 7 next month.
