More Photo Backup Options While Traveling

I drag a 200 gig OWC-on-the-go with firewire 400/800 around with me.
It runs off the firewire port so I don't have to bring my power
brick. I also load my day's take into Aperture and do as much
culling and editing as possible. Keeps down storage requirements and
reduces workload when you get back to home base.

Cheers:
Bob

Re: More Photo Backup Options While Traveling

There are 2 features you didn't mention concerning the hard disk photo
wallet option:

1. Size - at about 5.8 x 3 x 1 inch (WxLxH) and 0.7 lbs. including the
drive and battery, this option is extremely small and light compared
to a full size laptop.

2. RAW support - many of the higher end models, including 2 you
mention by name (Picture Porter Elite, Vosonic VP8860) offer support
for many image types including RAW. This allows you to bypass the RAW
+JPG mode just to see the end result.
