iPhone 3G GPS Details, Power Adapter, and Industrial Design
via email
One of the neat things about the current Apple Power adapters is that
the prongs for US plugs fold into the base. That makes for smooth
package for packing or storing. It appears that the prongs on the new
iPhone adapter are fixed in place. While the image in the Tidbits
article doesn't clearly show that side of adapter, a picture in the
Macworld article <http://www.macworld.com/article/133856/2008/06/iphone_3g_hands_on.html
> does.
While there does not appear to be enough room for the prongs to fold
down, it would be nice if there could be a way that they could slide
back into the base, like the prongs on Kensington's Travel Plug
Adapter <http://us.kensington.com/html/5519.html>.
