Apple is once again taking advertising to a new level, this time online - watch the electric reaction when the Mac & PC guys discuss the negative reactions to Vista:

Warning - when Apple ran a similarly concepted ad during the Super Tuesday primaries, it only ran for one day. If you put your click finger into snooze, you might loose.

Even if I didn't love Macs, I'd love their ad campaigns.

You're not seeing the ad because it was only posted on the NYT main page on Friday March 21. It was a one-day ad. Probably because it would be intrusive (and no doubt expensive) to post it too long. It included a banner across the top, and the entire right column at the top. It was another powerful Flash-based ad which was very clever.

As Marilyn said, you snooze, you lose.

The YouTube videos are great for titillation. There are more than
just the one NYT banner.

I think the ad making its way around popular Internet news sites. It
was on Slate <www.slate.com>. for most of Monday.
