Bluetooth headsets w/ Macs

Does anyone here use a Plantronics 510 (or other Plantronics)
Bluetooth headset with their Mac? Moreover, are their known issues
with Macs and particular Bluetooth headsets?

I'm setting up a new Voyager 510, and it pairs with my MacBook Pro,
but cannot 'use' it. When it tries to "Use Headset", it tries for a
couple seconds then fails with an error message.

Thanks,
Andrew

I use my mine, I'm not to sure what model # it is. I've had it for a
couple of years. It looks just like the 510 but so does a lot of them.

Yes, I have a Plantronics 665 (or 655, I forget, they're basically the
same headset but with different included accessories), and it pairs
just fine with my Macbook. I've used it for iChat, Skype, etc, no
problem.

Weird.

Any, uh, particular error message?

And what is "it" here, in "when it tries to 'use headset'"? The
computer? A program? Which program?

Re: Bluetooth headsets w/ Macs

I've used several Bluetooth headsets with my MacBook Pro for both Skype and iChat with no trouble: a Jabra JX10 and currently a Jawbone headset.

I just disconnect them from my phone in order to use with the MBP. Sometimes I've got to re-run the Bluetooth setup, but not very often.
