Victoria voice for text to speech

A recent TidBits article pointed to a video on Apple's site, which uses a voice apparently called "Victoria", which does not sound anything like the Victoria on my system (Leopard):

Does anyone know where to get this voice? It's a lot better than the single Alex voice using the new speech manager.

Thanks,
Ron

I think it is Lucy, from InfoVox:

If you watch that video's credits it says:

Narration Voice: Acapela Infovox iVox, Lucy
www.assistiveware.com

The voices are listed, and described, here:

One more thing.. You can listen to all the voices here:

http://assistiveware.com/ivoxsamples.php?voice=Alice_iVox_HQ

Cheers!

Dave

The voice in the video has a British accent, are there UK editions of
OS X with British accent voices?

Cepstral sells high-quality voices for OS X (and other OS's). They
have an online demo and and a downloadable demo voice you can install
with no time limit (the voice will frequently announce itself as
unlicensed). Each voice is about $30.

They have some $7 "character" voices too. Damian sounds deep and
evil, Shouty sounds like a monster truck rally advertising (Sunday!
Sunday! Sunday!)

AT&T Natural Voices are very good but I think the only way to get any
on a Mac is to buy AbleReader ($~50) from NextUp, it includes one
male and one female voice. *Note* they're not currently Intel Mac
compatible.

I never heard of the Acapela Group but apparently they supply non-
English voices to Apple for OS X. They also sell high quality voices
for Mac with the product name "iVox."

Greetings!

I think Heather is much nicer. Lucy's far too posh, darling. And ever so correct, though I do like the way she hits her Ts.

Re: Victoria voice for text to speech

I do hope we get another voice to complement Alex sometime soon. A
nice BBC female voice would be best.
