Critical update to Office 2008 AutoUpdate (MAU)

It is critical that you update. MAU will not tell you about any future
updates unless you first install this update to MAU itself.

I don't see this anywhere on mactopia.com . . .and running the current
version (1.12) says there are no updates. Can you give us a direct link?

Also, does the autoupdate check for updates for all versions installed
or just 2008? I did not uninstall Office 2004 when I installed 2008 so
have both installed.

It will only update the one for Office 2008. Older versions of Office will
still use the VISE installers.

Thanks . . . I had searched MS's site when I saw your original
reference but could not find it; and also tried running an update
check with no success. I actually got notified that it was available
by autoupdate one day earlier this week and updated.

Re: Critical update to Office 2008 AutoUpdate (MAU)

Note that while this was an update to the auto updater, Microsoft
plans to push "critical" updates to Office 2004 and Office 2008 next
week (week of 10 March).

(They are also pushing "critical" updates to all the Windows Office
versions back to 2000, as all of Windows "Patch Tuesday". No one can
remember a Patch Tuesday that was all Office and all "critical".)
