Aperture crashes

After updating to Leopard 10.5.1 I keep on seeing Aperture crashes whenever I do a couple of things sort of "out of the ordinary".

- I cannot acces the preferences.

- I cannot delete a "Galery" I don't need anymore.

The rest of the features seem to work as usual, but this drives me crazy. Am I the only one?

MB 2GHz/2GB OS 10.5.1 + various external drives (via Firewire hub) and a couple of devices via USB hub. Oh - my EyeTV 200 also behaves strangely insofar as it is not recognized most of the times.

I tried everything on a clean test account - no help there.
