Although I think Rich Mogull points out Intuit's general disdain for mac
users, I think Intuit secretly hates all it's users.

Some examples:

Encrypted Quicken files have a backdoor key on them that can be used to
unlock files without the user's password.

Quickbooks doesn't let you store data on linux (or presumably Mac OS X)
servers.

Intuit sunsets old products faster and faster, forcing upgrades to products
with less functionality.

Those are just stories from this year. Search Ed Foster's Gripe 2 Ed blog
at Infoworld for even more horror stories.

I didn't think it was a secret ...

I can move Eudora files back and forth between the Mac and Windows
versions, only changing the line ends in some files and making minor
changes in the names and arrangements of the files.

I can move Moneydance files back and forth between the Mac and Windows
versions with no changes at all. This is somewhat unsurprising since it's
the same program (same .jar file) on both platforms.

I can move Quicken files back and forth between the Mac and Windows
versions only if I am willing to see large slices of my data mangled and
garbled.
