Google Used 70 Times More than Yahoo

The dominance of Google referrers might have something to do with
europeans. Google has a marketshare of about 95% in countries like
Holland, in fact students at the college where I work seem to use
nothing else. This is both apparant in the statistics I see for the
websites I maintain and what I see them using when I walk through the
library.

Pretty much.
I sympathize - but that's just the way it is. We're a software company
operating in a fairly specialized market and our figures are even more
dramatic than yours. People who use Yahoo or MSN simply aren't looking
for our stuff - or yours by the looks of it. Yahoo and MSN users are
borwsers, not searchers, looking at the respective homepages for the
search engines, it's easy to see how that could be the case.

I think that's true of students everywhere. The last time I was in a
computer lab on campus every search page I saw was google.
I know one person who uses yahoo as their search page, so I can easily
believe numbers under 5%.
