My post (well… rant) about the Apple Expo Paris is still not on the
list (at least in my mailbox :o) AFAIK) but I've just seen on MacNN
the first pics from the booths at the forthcoming MacLive Expo in
London. There's no Apple booth…

So part of my rants about the position of Apple regarding this
exhibit are for now pure speculation to say the least, even if the
move of Apple Europe to London is still a mystery. (ah the unknown at
Apple… ;)

Apple isn't listed on either of the two MacLive Expo shows' list of
exhibitors. Very disappointing, that.

Even more disappointing, though, is the fact that Macworld Conference
London, held only twice in 2004 and 2005, apparently didn't attract
as many attendants as the organizers had hoped. MWCL was exactly the
kind of event that is missing in Europe: competent, high-profile
speakers (the likes of Ihnatko, Pogue, and McClelland), interesting
(though somewhat too entry-levelish) topics, nice venue (at least in
its first year at the Barbican) -- but it only "lived for two
summers." *sigh*

Not only was Apple not there, it was pretty crap too.

They've shot themselves in the foot - the Leopard Launch was a damp squib. Most visitors had already left, or did not show much interest, including me.
