How do time zones affect Take Control of Leopard books?

By a quirk of geography, we Kiwis will actually get Leopard first:

* 26 October in New Zealand is still only 25 October in other parts of
the world, notably the US.

* Couriers willing, I shall receive my copy of Leopard, and start
installing the *day before* Leopard's released in the US.

So, exactly when will I be able to update to the full versions of the
Take Control volumes?

And does Apple release Leopard when it's 6pm local time in the US as
well, so that one coast gets it before the other? (Just wondering.)

Cheers,

Miraz

I didn't want to say anything until I had wrangled some code, but I'm
happy to say that if everything goes well, the full versions of Take
Control ebooks will be available for download at 6 PM on October
26th, local time, if you're earlier than we are on the east coast of
the United States, or at 6 PM Eastern if you're later than we are.

Note that I can't guarantee that the books will be entirely ready
before 6 PM Eastern - we certainly hope to be done, but it's best not
to promise a chicken dinner before the eggs have hatched.

cheers... -Adam

Well done, and congratulations. And thanks!

I'm happy to say I've just installed Leopard (it's just after noon
here in New Zealand and my pre-ordered copy arrived a short time ago).

I'm also downloading the book updates.

Excellent service!

Cheers,

Miraz
