Appleworks Crashes...

Just set up our new iMac (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo), but Appleworks keeps
crashing. Ensured I have the latest Appleworks update, but it's
crash-after-crash. Have kept my old(er) iMac, so I haven't entirely lost
the thousands of AW documents I want to keep (some as templates). Not sure
I would have upgraded if I'd known about this issue...!

Any ideas?

Paul,
W. Australia.

Not that it helps much, but I just got it working on a new iMac dual
2.0 without any problem. Perhaps try to trash the preferences file
and see if that helps.

Regards,

Howard

There's a lot of potential causes of AW crashes on newer Macs and
Tiger. This page has a compilation of most of the causes/fixes.

You must upgrade to version 6.29 of Appleworks. Available on the
Apple Site. It works on many of my client machines.
