Stop the Catalog Madness with Catalog Choice

The junk mail was just getting out of hand, so we subscribed to a
similar service called 41pounds (after the average 41 pounds of junk
mail every adult gets each year).

www.41pounds.org

They will try to get you off of credit card, insurance, sweepstakes
and other direct marketing solicitation lists in addition to removing
you from select catalogs. They charge $41 for 5 years for a single
mailing address (family, roommates, etc. included), will go through
the process again if the junk mail starts coming again or if you move
within the 5 years, and claim an 80-90% reduction in junk mail
volume. Part of the fee gets routed to select non-profits.

We will see how well this works, but if they succeed in getting our
junk mail down by even 50%, I would be happy.
