Need assistance with GoLive

Hi One and All,

Can anyone here point me to a site where I can acquire a good copy of Adobe GoLive 6, 7 or 8 (but NOT 9) for Macs?

My old copy of GoLive 6 for Mac finally died, and I can't find the installation disks to reinstall it. I bought it years ago.

I downloaded a trial version of GoLive 9 for Macs and it was really buggy... or at least it failed to do lots of things, like setting up clear links to pages. And I don't want to use Dreamweaver as it would require me to completely redo two whole websites. I have read that GoLive 9 was a sloppy job as Adobe was going to ditch it in favour of Dreamweaver when they purchased Macromedia.

I have a G5 with enough grunt to do the work, but I do need a reliable app.

Fortunately, I have GoLive 6 installed on my PC so I can at least do maintenance work on the two sites, but I would dearly love to be able to make the web pages on my Mac again.

Any assistance will  be greatly appreciated!

Paul

Hi Paul,

You might try <golivelists.lassosoft.com> - lots of discussion of GL
8/9, and several of us still use GL 6. perhaps someone who has moved
to the CS3 package (lots of discussion of GL - Dreamweaver move) may
no longer need their GL6 licence.

Hi there,
I just went on ebay and found several Mac versions listed (versions 4
thru 7). As always check seller feedback but this might be your best
solution. I did see one for version 6 for current bid 9.99.

I have a GoLive 4 installation disk with the complete 6 upgrade, docs & all. Ya want it, ya got it (just cover shipping, all told about 5 lbs; or just take the CDs & I'll chuck the rest). Use it in good health.
