Daylight Saving Time Rules Fixed for New Zealand
Guest User
I have a fast easy fix that will work until October 28 (after which
standard NZ settings can be used)
Rather than using the manual fix (as suggested by Apple) or the
downloadable fix (by Glenn http://www.mactcp.org.nz/nzdt.html) I
simply changed my location to Anadyr - Russia, same time zone but in
the database as having daylight saving until Oct 28. This uses the
built in mechanisms so you can still keep your computer synced with a
time server (unlike Apple's fix), and it does not require downloading
and installing any fixes, making it faster and safer to implement.
Could this be helpful to someone else? I'm just embarrassed because I
told my linux friend that I would not have to worry about downloading
fixes because it would naturally all be included in Apple update!
Does Apple realise how insulting this is?
