Deciding Between the iPhone and iPod touch

Perfect article for our household, at exactly the right time!
Just a quick follow-up question about the iCal and Notes programs on
the iPhone - are these programs strong enough to help us move away
from our Palms? We need to be able to take and sync meeting notes
and be able to modify our calendars on the go. We're also not
wanting to add monthly costs, so are disappointed that the iPod touch
is limited, and probably won't buy either yet.
