iPhoto '08 and shared galleries

I'm considering upgrading iLife in order to get the new iPhoto, but
I'm hoping someone can help me out with a few questions I have about
the new photo galleries.

It appears that users can upload photos directly from the gallery
page. How can you control who can and can't upload? Can you limit it
to friends, group members, or the like?

If someone uploads a photo, does that automatically sync up to your
copy of iPhoto?

Can someone publish photos to a web gallery from within iPhoto?

Is there some way that a person can easily upload multiple photos to a
web gallery?

Is "photocasting" still available so iPhoto users can automatically
pull down every photo in a gallery?

Thanks for the information!

If you can, I'd suggest watching the iLife '08 Guided Tour <http://
www.apple.com/ilife/guidedtour/>. It's excellent and will answer all
of your questions posed below.

You can have a Password protected area for family or friends.

Yes.

I think that a person with iPhoto (not the owner) can subscribe to Web Gallery and be able to publish, as well as see published photos there.

From iPhoto, multiple selection, then send to Web Gallery. From the iPhone, I think you can send one at a time.

Yes. They can subscribe to the Web Gallery.

No problem. Check out Apple area under iLife '08 on the Web Gallery for more info <http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/#webgallery>.

Yes, you can save the photos in the gallery to disk, but...
the smarts in the gallery live on Apple's servers, not in the
upload. So you don't get nearly the same effect.

You may, with programming, get effects you like better, of course.

Unanswerable question (thanks to NDA): does "scrubbing" come in a
few handy API calls in Leopard?

As far as I can see (I've published three personal galleries so far), there
is no way to publish to disk. It only works with .Mac.
