Apple Delays iMacs Until Sep-04
Could this really lead to price cuts for iBooks? Glenn Fleishman made the following comment at the end of his article:
<http://db.tidbits.com/getbits.acgi?tbart=07728>
the critical back-to-school period that's practically started already as parents and students decide where to spend their money in the next two to three months. Apple will almost certainly be heavily promoting other models, potentially with large discounts, to avoid turning impatient potential iMac buyers into Windows users.
Many other comments I've read about Apple's halting sales of the iMac proposed that it was a way for Apple to avoid making & trying to sell a "loss leader" so close to a new model intro. Glenn's article was the first time I read someone speculating that it could lead to price cuts on other models that Apple is pushing for the education market, like iBooks.
