I agree, absolutely! More entertaining/informative/intriguing than

No, it's "unofficial" - it was mentioned in Ad Age's Creativity
digital newsletter. The production values are good, so I'm guessing
it's done by professionals as a portfolio piece; it's getting
positive attention.

Yeah - it would be an "ad" done "on spec". That is, speculation. Ads like
that are often done by a creative team that's looking to get noticed or
cause they're bored. :)
Often they are created to be used as part of a resume.
