Keyboard Keys Shortcuts

I have been attempting to get the keyboard keys shortcuts, but they do not
work any longer on my G4 Mac. They previously worked, but all of a sudden
they stoped working. Command C - copy; Command V - cut and copy; Command V -
paste; etc. I question if there is a control key that can restore the use of
the keyboard keys shortcuts?

If restarting does not fix the problem, you might want to apply the latest
Apple combo updater.

Download the combo updater from Apple and run it again rather than using
Software Update. Doing so overwrites potentially problem-causing files.
Combo updaters will install on the same version as theyıre applying‹no need
to roll back or do a clean install.

The combo update installer updates Mac OS X 10.4, 10.4.1, 10.4.2, 10.4.3,
10.4.4, 10.4.5, 10.4.6, 10.4.7, or 10.4.8 to 10.4.9.

Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update (PPC)

Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update (Intel)

Is it a hardware prob? Do other command keys work / does the command
key on the opposite side of the keyboard work?

Re: Keyboard Keys Shortcuts

One possibility is that some other Input Method or Event Tap is grabbing these keystrokes before they reach the target application. I don't remember off hand what folder holds input methods (~/Library/??). To monitor event taps, there's a clever and free application called "Event Taps Test Bench" that will show what keystrokes are being generated, and what event taps (by process ID) may be grabing them.
