Visions of the Sublime and the Inane

Patterns of interaction on twitter and flickr may seem inane from those of us in the pretwitter and preflickr generation, but I think that they reveal something about the nature of a generation for which electronics are as much a part of human interaction as is writing to ours. This post, http://www.disambiguity.com/ambient-intimacy/, is one of many worth a read in this regard. Other stuff to waste your time on can be found in ma.gnolia groups on twitter (http://ma.gnolia.com/groups/twitter) and social media (http://ma.gnolia.com/groups/SocialMedia).

I find twitter inane because it is only about the speed of communications,
not the quality.
