Little Window on OS X 10.4 Desktop
David Clark - 11:10am May 20, 2007 PSTGuest UserI know this has probably been answered somewhere, but I just can't
figure it out. On my iMac 20" Intel, the desktop always has a small
window on it, about 3 x 4 inches, that seems to identify a few icons
of places to go -- Network, Firefox, Macintosh HD, MY Book right now
-- and I'd like to get rid of it. Putting it in the trash doesn't work.
This little window has never appeared on my MacBookPro desktop.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Little Window on OS X 10.4 Desktop
It sounds like you installed some extension that displays the window.
Check your login items & system preferences for anything you might
have installed.

Login, close the window, and immediately log out . . . that ought to
fix it. If it doesn't . . . go into ~/Library/Preferences and trash
com.apple.finder.plist and restart.
