recorded) and overall, I like it. I found some problems, however.
For example, Adam left a spot for "Superman’s Song" which spotDJ
could not find because my track was named "Superman's Song" (NB: my
version didn't have the smart quote).
[Fascinating - that's almost certainly my fault. I think I once made a gift CD for a friend using that song, and since I'm particular about how things look, when I printed the CD cover from iTunes, I realized the quote was straight, so I fixed it. -Adam]
Also, it seems most people mark their spots as being about the artist
even when they are about a specific song.
Overall, it's been quite interesting and I hope that it improves and
that more people get into it.
I do find I have to restart the SpotDJ app pretty often as it stops
updating when iTunes changes songs.
[Interesting - I haven't hit that. It's been running for days. -Adam]

I don't think it is your FAULT, it's a failing in the SpotDJ's search
algorithm. They need a fuzzy search, especially as different people
have different styles of metadata entering.

Well, 1) I've been recording a ton of spots and 2) I skip a lot of
songs, so my use may not track the 'normal'.

Yes. For instance, I use curly quotes in all my
iTunes metadata. Presumably I therefore wouldn't
get any spots for songs with quote marks (unless
Adam has used one of them on a gift CD!). There
are probably other 'special' characters -- the
en-dash, maybe -- that occur, but the quote mark
is particularly frequent. I can also imagine
labelling differences with parenthesis versus
square brackets in some songs, and spaces in
others. Note I haven't tried SpotDJ yet, so I'm
not criticising it specifically, but just
agreeing with Google Kreme's suggestion above.
