Macworld Expo Sessions Available for Download

I only send this to alert other potentially interested persons in purchasing sessions from MacWorldEncore. I have now been attempting to purchase 4 sessions for the last two days. I have been encountering error after error in trying to access the site, actually selecting a session, actually logging in, actually staying logged in long enough to attempt to select my four sessions, then getting a Microsoft Jet Engine error (COME ON THIS IS MAC WORLD EXPO!!!!!!!) What the hell are we doing running this crappy site on an IIS server!!!???? The site feels like it is being hosted on a 386 box that was resurrected to host this site. This is the worst experience I have had with a shopping cart since the inception of the web shopping cart! Blech.

Good luck to you if you want to purchase anything. I’d LOVE to buy some of these sessions, as I was unable to attend the conference. Apparently, I am still unable to attend virtually.

Clint

As a speaker, I received an email and some "credit" to use towards
session downloads, but to be honest I hadn't even looked at the site
yet. After I read this, I tried it and the "shopping cart" part of it
was seamless and error-free. I was able to preuse all the sessions,
load up my cart, then check out and apply my coupon code. The
back-end was obviously run by Google, and I never saw any other the
errors you talk about.

I'm downloading sessions now.

Real world intrusion. IDG is not a Mac-only company, and as such, is not
beholden to the Mac orthodoxy. Macworld Expo is in fact, an IDG property.
The fact that it is not working is of more importance than personal opinion
of the technology used.

Macworld.com posted a free download of the Mac OS X Hints session,
which apparently overwhelmed the IDG servers (the session is now at
macworld.com). I'm guessing you hit the site while it was being
attacked by popularity.
