iPod vending machine ldr - 01:01pm Jan 24, 2007 PSTI was walking through my local Macy's earlier today and spotted an iPod vending machine! It sold genuine (presumably) iPods and an assortment of accessories such as headphones. Payment was by credit card. Prices were standard Apple list prices. I would assume that normal sales tax would be added as well. There is an Apple store in the same mall.

Yep, I've seen a couple of these. I even used one to buy my dock and
a set of headphones since the Apple store wouldn't sell them to me
unless I showed them my driver's license, which I don't carry on me,
and wouldn't show to them even if I did.

Hey Lewis, were you using a credit card or writing a check at the Apple Store? If not I can't imagine why they would need to see your license for headphones and a dock. That's nuts.

Yes, a credit card. Apple brick and mortar requires a photo ID to
use a credit card, so I went to the vending machine and used a credit
card without a photo ID.
