Re: Macworld SF 2007 Superlatives

Good morning,

In the list of show superlatives Adam mentioned SyncDek as
"Coolest Database Trick".

>**Coolest Database Trick** -- One of the dirty secrets about databases

While I agree it is a cool trick, it is not the first product of
its kind. As mentioned previously on this list, fmSQL Synch has
been doing the same thing for many years.

<http://www.fmsql-synch.com/>

The method used by SynkDek is quite different, but so is the
price (3 vs 4 figures). So I would encourage anyone who has both
a FileMaker and web (SQL) database to have a look at fmSQL
Synch. It has been effortlessly synching data for companies,
schools and hobbyists for many years and is a very cost
effective solution. (Note, education pricing is available which
is not listed on the site.)

If you have any questions regarding fmSQL Synch, please feel
free to contact me directly at <charliegarrison.com.au>. We are
also happy to receive any comments or suggestions on how fmSQL
Synch can be improved.

Regards,
Charlie
