How Envision should work
Personally, I can't see browsing the Web hands-free. My interest is more in picture sharing, not treating the Web's image collection as a slide show.
[Keep in mind that you could very easily create your own Web collection of images and point a copy of Envision at that copy. Just because Envision can load any URL and look for images doesn't mean you can't restrict it to just what you want to see. -Adam]
That means it's a downside that Envision requires 10.2.8. Older Macs, which are the best candidates for merely displaying pictures, will be excluded.
[I tend to agree that older Macs are most likely to be pressed into service here, and although Mac OS 9 may be too hard to get back to, 10.2.8 should work on all Macs that can run Mac OS X (such as the Wallstreets or old iBooks), which isn't true of 10.3. -Adam]
I'd like software with functionality like a Ceiva, without the subscription fee. The Ceiva is otherwise just right.

[Both of my sets of grandparents have Ceiva digital picture frames, and although we love what the Ceivas provide, we hate, absolutely hate, using the Ceiva Web interface. An old PowerBook could make a way bigger, better, and esaier picture frame, though I'd like to see Envision work with the Mac OS X screen saver rather than do the slideshows itself in that case. -Adam]
