Digital Camera RAW Support Update

gje - 08:09am Nov 17, 2006 PSTFor having one of the affected cameras (http://db.tidbits.com/article/8736) I was interested in this update but I'm intrigued why it hasn't appeared via Software Update.
I'm also concerned about being able to tell if this update has 'taken'. I'm not a particularly techie user but I couldn't find any immediately obvious changes to demonstrate successful application of the update. I've considered loading the package again to see if it now tells me I don't need it, but I'm reluctant to rush into this. Any guidance or direction available anywhere?

Check /var/log/install.log & /Library/Receipts.
