I don't have an iPod yet. I'm going to get one soon though. But if I
thought that there would be a chance in hell that Apple would give one
dime of my hardware purchase to those greedy xo(&*# , I would slam my
wallet shut. Just my opinion.

What do you think about Gates's old announcement, to keep developing
for the Mac, through what, 2006 (I might be wrong there, it's been so
long since I used Microsoft software or paid attention to Microsoft,
aside from the Zune, I'm not sure).

You know, the deal with the devil he made with Jobs?

I send the MacBU at Redmond a good day.

Re: Zune and Universal Music

I don't know (nor care) if the Zune can be used to store photo's, but I know the iPod can and it is one of the reasons I bought an iPod photo. Besides storing music I paid for (some even twice because I bought both the LP and the CD at full price), I use my iPod to store photo's. Photo's that I made myself and therefore hold the copyright to. So I wonder, if Apple were to make a deal with some recording company, could I file a claim with them because some media files to wich I hold the copyright are on an iPod? And what about songs made with Garageband that are stored on an iPod? Somehow I think that a royalty fee scheme on digital music players will NOT benefit the ones that should benefit from it. If anyone will benefit, it will probably be the lawyers.

[I don't think there's any liability for Microsoft related to the royalty they're paying Universal. And it's been generally agreed that even the 3-day/3-play music sharing scheme isn't likely to generate any legal liability if somehow applied to content that you own. -Adam]
